This is exactly why I don’t like to deal in single equities. Sure, it’s great when you put on a trade like Crocs, which I closed today for about a 75% profit ($12k), but I put about an equal trade on SAP about the same time. Look how it opened this morning. I’d been riding the heat with that one almost from the start and was right at about break even to close up the week. Shoulda got out then, like I typically do when a trade doesn’t get off its ass within a few days. Then some stupid news came out prior to the open, someone "downgraded" it, or something, and the stock opened down about 5% which, since I’m leveraged, came out right about 50% loss. Yea, I bailed. It’s just what you’ve gotta do in this sort of instance.
I hate to start off a Monday with an $8,000 loss to make up. Dammit! I’ll be lucky to have a 0% week, this week.
