Reader Adam, who described himself as "skinny fat," and who began using some of my methods and those of other's I've pointed to, has dropped from 215 to 201, a loss of 14 pounds that equates to a body fat reduction of about 6.5%. "Skinny fat" is the term used to refer to being skinny, yet fat, i.e., an excessive body fat percentage.
Adam sends along a photo of a recent meal preparation consisting of real feed.
Spinach salad: feta, sunflower seeds, dried cranberry, shrimp, avocado, olive oil & balsamic. And melon for dessert.

Thanks Bill.
The best part of this meal…it was made on vacation, where many people seem to get derailed.
We took a couple of friends with us to our timeshare and I did all the cooking for the week. My buddy Nate lost a pound while on vacation and he's an EATER! How often do you hear that?!?
Adam how long did it take for you to lose the 14 lbs of fat?
I started on the 15th of May and have steadily lost about a pound of fat a week. I have not done any "gym" style working out, just a bit of landscaping, mt. biking and hiking throughout the summer (but not enough to make a big difference). Just eating whole/natural occurring foods has done the trick. I do use IF ("eating window" technique). I eat dinner and then do not eat again most days until noon, for an 18 hour fast. I will do a 24 hour once in a while (maybe every 3 weeks). Then I eat lunch, snack, dinner and dessert. Dessert will consist of a cheesecake style dish or a smoothie (I have a couple of great ones I will have to share some time). I am on the vurge of starting a workout routine of some sort, but have yet to make the mental commitment.
