Patrick:

Yea, it's really amazing. You can have the same breakfast of bacon & eggs, but they think you're eating unhealthy because you have tomato or fruit instead of the hash browns & toast.

Cognitive dissonance, indeed.

I'd love to have an all-comment RSS, but TypePad has not seen fit to provide one (only per entry, and even that is a recent addition). I work with WordPress on a company blog. More flexible, but a lot more work. I could do custom CSS here, too, but then it would be just as much work. In all, te tradeoffs keep me with TP.

One more thing -- any chance you could enable a comments RSS feed all encompassing site-wide?

Hi Richard,

Great blog. I too have seen ridiculously good results from the De Vany prescribed diet/exercise philosophy. In fact, much like yourself, aside from losing tons of weight, my face has completely lost all inflammation.

People constantly comment on it. Quite flattering really. One of my wife's colleagues didn't even recognize me at a recent work party.

Sadly, my own family who see the results day after day, struggle with cognitive dissonance.

They see me thinner and happier, but warn me of my supposed elevated cholesterol levels. And how I need to eat carbs, and avoid eating lard.

I continuously point out that I eat huge, honking salads with berries, bacon, avocado, carrots, almonds etc etc ---- but alas, according to them, I need to eat bread, potatoes and rice.

C'est la vie....

And, since this is a lifestyle change that is easily maintained, he won't have to worry about any boomerang weight gain we he "goes back to eating normally".
