Birthday Shoes Interview

April 27th, 2009 · 4 Comments · Travel, Fun & Lifestyle

Some may recall my post from the past, Learning to Walk, where I recounted my significant experience in daily walking, developing chronic foot pain, and retraining myself to walk in the process. Pretty much all shoes are awful for feet.

Now I have an interview with photos up on the website Birthday Shoes - for the love of feet and vibram fivefingers.

I want a pair like your wife's! Same color – would go with about 75% of my clothes, at least the summer clothes. And I think they would be really good for my feet, which I think have gotten lazy in the sensible "quality" shoes I've been buying all these years. These barefoot shoes have been on my mind for a while, but I've been loath to come home with yet another pair of shoes (I am supposed to be economizing). But I feel myself being pushed/pulled over the edge…

    Richard,

Thanks again for doing the interview! It's been a big hit!

I should try the Vibrams. I've got some neuropathy from type II diabetes, and if I do a lot of walking in shoes even sandals), I end up sore for days on end. Richard, just out of curiosity, how much does a pair of Vibrams cost?

They are about $80, as I recall. Not cheap, but since I don't use them all the time, they still have no noticeable wear. I think they'll endure quite well.
