Does it mean that wholewheat does not cause cavities or at least to a significantly lesser extent?

If you look at Stephan's graphs, whole wheat caused decalcification in just under 60% of teeth, while refined grained caused decalcification in just over 80% of teeth.

Hoo boy, I was just thumbing through Weston A Price's "Nutrition and Degeneration" and there are a lot of photos of some messed up mouths. Messed up by sugars, carbs, and grains, oh my!

And there are some photos of perfect, thick, wide, white, chompers. Jawlines and tooth structures that just look "right". The old hunter gatherer diet wins again.
