I'd like to announce that Mark Sisson's The Primal Blueprint -- the book I now consider to supersede Loren Cordain's The Paleo Diet as the go-to guide -- is now for sale via Free The Animal (see "The Store" on the right sidebar).
Yes, I'll receive money when you purchase via this website, so go immediately and order a copy for yourself, your spouse, each of your children, all close and distant relatives of all sorts, and one for each person in your address book not already covered above.
You will do it now, please.
Seriously, it is a great book. I am most of the way through it, now, but have no problem recommending it heartily to anyone who wants to express their primal genes for weight loss, health, vitality and increased attractiveness. In fact, I just went through and updated the links (with my code) to all my previous mentions and recommendations to buy this book since its publication, and I found about a dozen; so, obviously, I would recommended this book far apart from the compensation I'll receive for sales going forward.
So, if you enjoy the work here and wouldn't mind -- when you buy it or have need of a copy to gift -- I'd really appreciate it if right here was your go-to point of purchase.
On a related note, Mark Sisson has a new 2-part interview up at 2blowhards. You can read the introductory post here, and here's part 1 of the Q&A. I'll update this post with the link to part-2 once it's published.
Update: Part 2.

Already bought a copy for my mom’s birthday a couple of weeks ago. She’s devouring it. It’ll be my go-to birthday present for quite some time to come!
Sorry Richard – got one from Mark’s website direct some time ago. It really does fill in all the blanks and has given me a good understanding of the principles at work. The next book which many people await with great anticipation is Art De Vany’s which I am sure you know is well and truly in the pipeline. .
Just to let you know, we have started a “London Evolutionary Fitness Meetup Group” – see http://www.meetup.com/London-Evolutionary-Fitness-Meetup-Group/.
Our first lunch is on Saturday 12 September in London – hope some of your readers may come along if they live in or near to London.
Best wishes
John
I have read Loren Cordain – The Paleo Diet, and I have to admit I was a little disappointed, I expected more. A more scientific jargon, and not “if you’ll start paleo diet tomorrow.. you’ll see the results in a week”. Have of it with recipes and references. Maybe it’s just me, but I didn’t like it that much.
Mark Sisson’s book on the other hand..
