Ah, and what a long weekend is was; highlights being an 8-mile hike (in Vibrams, of course) to the coast & back on Saturday, then about 5-6 on the beach on Sunday (barefoot), then a BBQ of grassfed ribeyes from Marin Sun Farms grilled over a wood fire on Sunday night. My brothers are now sold on grassfed beef.
So, let's get back to some blogging. I've got some things to attend to first, so in the meantime, I'll let my friend Karen De Coster set the tone.
The American palette has been so assaulted with sewage disguised as edible food, that the general masses can no longer appreciate real food. Fresh, whole, natural food. Grown adults still turning their noses up at vegetables, for god sakes. People are addicted to crappy food not meant for human consumption. And don’t blame it on the “evil corporations” – blame it on the choices and priorities of individuals.
You get 'em, Karen.

The Ribeye's from Marin Sun Farms were excellent, especially cooked over a wood fired grill.
Love the quote!
i went to my local M&M meat shop looking for soup bones because i'd just run out of proper grass raised (i make hellish amounts of stock). the girl behind the counter looked at me like she was trying to figure out a complex mathematical equation.
staring at my forehead, she asked, “soup bones? what are soup bones?”
i then went to Chinatown. they haven't lost touch yet.
may the gods preserve us…
