Time to Talk About the New Inverted Food Pyramid

An image of the new inverted food pyramid is actually a little bit difficult to find online, and there’s a damn good reason for that—which I’ll get into in a minute.

You see, the food pyramid has been around since the 1950s or ’60s—some shit like that—but no human on this planet ever gave it a serious thought. Do you really think people went to the grocery store, filled up their carts, and said, “Okay, I’m gonna make our grocery haul food-pyramid compliant”? No. But at the same time, they kinda did, and that’s because as soon as the federal government rolled out that food pyramid—one of the stupidest fucking things they’ve ever done—all the corporations jumped on board. It wasn’t so much their marketing as their corporate contracts and deals that revolved around it. The whole point was to sell the cheapest products en masse: grains, oats, cereals, all that crap. Not to say grains are inherently evil or anything, but that’s what they pushed because they could rake in a ton of money from it—dirt cheap to produce, while everything else is expensive.

So what happens? All those contracts—buy-or-make deals under government supervision—get funneled into selling food to the big institutions, schools, hospitals, prisons, you name it. Everything follows the goddamn food pyramid. People themselves never gave a fuck about it, but they ended up getting poisoned—not outright poisoned, but in this insidious under-nutrition way over decades, all because of those mass contracts to sell cheap garbage.

And that’s what this inversion of the food pyramid does: it knocks all that bullshit out. Average everyday people won’t be as brainless anymore, swallowing the lie that “this is what we need to eat,” which just makes your kids fat and sick. Then you haul them to the doctor and slap them on a lifetime regimen of being fat and sick for the rest of their goddamn lives. It’s fucking evil. These are the most evil people on earth—Big Food and Big Pharma in league together—and now, at least, maybe something’s shifted where that’s not gonna be the case so much anymore.

That is all. Short and sweet.

This is my take on the topic: carbsyndrome.com/robert-f-kennedy-jr-is-right-about-our-toxic-food/

I agree that the Food Industrial Complex has totally fucked things up. At least the new food pyramid is something our grandparents would recognize!

Good article, I never paid much attention to the food pyramid. When I did check it out maybe back in the 1960’s, I thought it was stupid. Most all of our meals were high protein, some cereals for breakfast (what was it you liked Richard? Captain Crunch? Fruit Loops? but mostly bacon & eggs. When we moved out to the ranchette, we raised our own chickens for eggs and meat, rabbits and goats (remember you were the chief executioner).
