Dirt Cheap Budget Travel – South Phuket (Rawai) to Pattaya via Bangkok. I Saved Huge.

On Monday morning I decided to take a pressing personal matter in-hand and deal with it face-to-face instead of texts and video chats…two things growing more annoying for me by the day in general…especially when the someone is just kilometers away.

Just take the care and time and meet up for Christs’ sake.

But by the time I started searching, schedules were not on my side for immediate or near-term departure. One advantage to living alone and having no pets EVER AGAIN!!! is that I can be packed and out the door in 10-15 minutes…and to anywhere worldwide. The pack-it-up for this trip was a standard North Face backpack, 5-minutes pack time. I love to travel light. There’s a thing called washing machines and washing services—especially in the places to which I like to travel.

All the figures for this trip are in the video, but the bottom line is that I normally would pay about $150. But this time, by using my powers, I did it for $50. And, the total travel time was only about an hour total more that the normal means I typically use.

I intended to travel the world "homeless," but the Covidiocy Panicdemic squashed that. I became an American expat living in Thailand. I celebrate the audacity and hubris to live by your own exclusive authority and take your own chances. ... I leave the toilet seat up. Read More
