My Place At The Grand Solmar Resort and Spa in Cabo San Lucas
Busy for much of the day, yesterday.
Booked 5 of my contract 30 weeks, yearly, for a dentist in the midwest who heads an association of dentists. He needed five more rooms for a week in February. One Doc is coming from as far away as Australia.
Here’s the place.
It’s The Grand Solmar Resort and Spa, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Here are my listings, in case you want to snag a week for yourself:
- 1BR Master Suite – Grand Solmar Land’s End – Cabo’s Premier 5-Star Resort & Spa
- Master Studio – Grand Solmar Land’s End – Cabo’s Premier 5-Star Resort & Spa
It won’t be cheap.
…The girls I talk to couple of times per week down there….Becky, Veronica, Elizabeth, Lucy—Hector, the one guy, has moved on—are getting lunch on me tomorrow, along with the other dozen office mates who make it all happen.

Certified Romance Coordinator? Gotta get me one of those!
Who does not need a CERTIFIED romance coordinator?
Sounds like a pimp.
No worries.
The property is new, 5-star world class.
I’ve put well over 100 guests in there in three years, including some Hollywood folk (business is business).
It looks beautiful.
Congrats! You landed as big a fish as I did…caught this 1 miles straight out from the resort:
Wow. How many pounds? Must be 50-60 or so.
Didn’t weigh it, but we got about 60lbs of fillets. Cabo is an amazing place for sportfishing, the charters are cheap, the boat captains and crew work incredibly hard to get you on the fish, and then there are several processing businesses in the marina where the clean and package your catch so you can take it with you on the plane ride home.
Best of all, there are numerous restaurants where you can take some of your fish and they will cook it for in any way you like.
Please don’t take it the wrong way Richard; I’m sure it is high class. Just hadn’t thought of the concept of a CRC. Definitely something to keep in mind the next time I have some business travel. To hell with the gym, where’s the bar and the CRC?
CRC?
CRC? I bet he means Canadian Recycling Centre.

What dumb fuck honestly thinks people know what their dumb fuck useless acronyms stand for. Learn to communicate you fucking dumb fuck.
Oh. I see. If you read his first comment you see CRC stands for Certified Romance Coordinator. Fucking lame. You’re dismissed Lunsford.
Weren’t you Tim and some girl writing a book together? What ever happened to that?
Dude.
It’s on the bog, there’s a search function. What am I, your fuckin’ Google?
When in Cabo we stay further north where swimming in the sea is enjoyable. Where you’re at the sea swimming is nearly impossible …. steeply sloped shoreline and riptides.
They don’t recommend it, but it’s a quick walk over to the other side where water is very fun, and where the locals go.
I love it, seeing all the local kinds swimming and comment to my wife, “nobody has told them they’re poor, yet.”
In late afternoon, the beach just north, at Playa Grande is often very swimable.
Of course, there is a tradeoff. It can be spectacular at breakfast, watching big waves crashing in just feet away. Different strokes.
So, did you tell them they are poor? It is the first step they need to take so that they may become rich.
