Is it just me…

…or should we be hearing less about the Michael Jackson trial, and more about some giver of justice beating the parents of every kid that ever set foot in the Neverland Ranch, since 1993, to a bloody pulp (and then really hurting them)?

While I can't understand the mentality of the parents (money, money, money) either it shouldn't take away from the pervert himself.

BTW, I also posted about the old pervert today.

I really don't care about the Jackson case either way. I hate how the media keeps wasting time talking about this inconsequential case. Jackson is a relic of the past, and music has moved on. Thousands are being killed in Iraq and elsewhere, and people would rather watch this circus.

Uhm, neither. I could care less…

I hope that they finally convict the freak this time, and then I don't want to hear his name any more. Enough is enough!

    Todd:

With regard to Jackson, I share your sentiment. I don't sense he is now (or in 1993) being dealt an injustice.

But the kids are ignorant (not an insult, just a statement of fact) and there should be a focus on their parents I've not seen, but wish I would. Kids do need to be protected, and I don't mean that from stupid Hillaryesque It-Takes-A-Village perspective, but from the perspective of the solemn duty of parents.

Richard, my turn to agree with you. Well said. What makes me sick is America's fascination with it a la O.J. It is too bad that our lives are not full enough that we must 'fill in the cracks' with Springer, Maury, the Jackson case and Survivor. Now if Survivor were on the Psychology channel (is there one?), that would be fitting. It's a big social experiment, done over and over with different test subjects in different environments.
