Exactly and precisely what I said. Right out loud. Right at the TV. You can ask my wife. In fact, I paused and "rewound" the TiVo just so I could say "Fuck You" again.

OK, now, Kat, let's be clear and rational about this–though I'm not holding out a lot of hope, here.
Just because I'm able and willing to say FU to Bush on the TV–or to his face for that matter–doesen't mean that I'm willing to swallow any old thing that those who hate Bush, in general, would have me believe.
There is no such thing as "big pharma," "big oil," or any other "big" in the sense you mean. Firms and their stockholder owners operate in their own best interest, and that could only correspond across the board and to political interests, simultaneously, in the most extreme of unlikely circumstances. In a word: impossible, and I'm not even addressing issues of "secrets too big to keep."
When you hear the beating of hoofprints, think horses and not zebras. That's Ocamm's Razor, in case you're not familiar.
Bush is against cloning and stem-cell research because of his primitive, geocentric religious views that happen to be shared by millions of other primitive peoples.
Such has persisted throughout hisory. Those who face the future through knowledge and technology have always been a tiny, tiny minority. It is only when the cat gets out of the bag and the primitives find a way to reconcile (rationalize) new knowledge with their medicine-man, Santa-Claus, Tooth-Fairy, Stupidity-Disease primitivity that things move forward.
that's what i said too…..i yelled "FUCK YOU" at the TV at that same moment….i mean what an ass bush is….stem cells can CURE diseases and we aren't using it because his friends in big pharma want to sell more drugs that don't "cure" anything…
who cares if some poor folk like us die as long as we empty our bank accounts and hand all our money over to big pharma before we die for drugs that don't work.
