Sliderules
I’m not interested in numbers and statistics, because they are only evidence of the problem: not the problem itself.
The problem itself is that everybody wants to live at the expense of everyone else.
There is no way to put something like that into numbers. It simply enrages me to see people doing it.
For those that didn’t quite get my reference to sliderules and all manner of other paraphernalia for calculating this and that, Billy Beck explains what I mean.

I've no essential disagreement, Francis. Turn it around. Are people who want to live at the expense of others decent people? No, of course not, leaving only that they are indecent.
Which means that something over 98 or 99% of the people in America, and indeed, the world, are indecent.
There are a few of us, Porretto, who have no difficulty at tracing the phrase to its origin in Frederick Bastiat, but let me fit the thing into a box that someone like you might see: The number of people who want to live at the expense of everyone else is big enough to vote your narrow ass staight into the cannibal-pot without any difficulty at all.
