I know that many members aren’t super interested in my specifically Thailand stuff. I get that, and especially if turning this into a travel log-blog. So, I do keep that light. Conversely, it seems everyone loves my personal life stuff…especially when I mention Chili and Wasabi, the—now—13 and 11 year old girls of my Thai woman. I’m working and struggling behind the scenes on that. I have big plans for those two sweethearts whom I love and adore and who have never said a cross word to me in two years.

This uses Thailand and my familiarity with it on all levels as a backdrop for a far greater lesson that applies to all of modern civilization.

Numbers 1 and 3, above, are prescient. Since the “influx” of 10% of the international tourists who used to come have been arriving for 8 months or so (“Phuket Sandbox”), I have so seen and heard first hand about the issues and most commonly, “I’ll never come back until I can come like before.” This, primarily from vaccinated people.

This is the great blind spot in all of this nonsense. They think smartphones with digital ID green card shit is going to usher in their Brave New World.

No, it fucking won’t and that push is getting a bigger push: back.

It must have been a year ago I said “wait, it’s inevitable.” To all the stupid deer in headlights, I’d add, “money rules.”

This is a country amongst others where tourism makes up an enormous portion of their annual income. In the case of Thailand, just one example, it’s 1/5th…20%. What happens when you chop your arm off? You bleed to death or you become measurably dysfunctional compared to where you were.

It’s amazing how ignorant Thais and expats are, surrounding and suffocating me from simple rationality and economic reality.

…I was in Chiang Mai in the north when the Covid thing began. Through January and February of 2020 I scoffed it off. I simply reasoned that tourism was too big for them to do anything.

I was wrong.

What made me wrong is that I did not account for and consider the influence and pressure from dominoes. That is, virtually the entire planet fell like them, with momentum and inertia.

It’s only now that we understand that that was the beginning of World War III. The crucial elements of a world war is that it’s global involvement in terms of the developed or developing countries as it starts. Secondly, it wanes when people set aside all other differences between themselves to put an end to it.

That’s what we’re seeing now. All over the world, people are setting all other considerations aside for the fight of their lives. The marked difference this time is that it’s a war against all governments.

This is about the lingering elements, mostly about vaccines, mandates, and masks. But more, too. It’s about the deception, power grabs, lying, collusion between state, media, and corporations, the abdication of most medical professionals, and the list goes on as more cats get out of the bag.

People are fed up with all of it, all over the world. And the vaccinated, maybe especially—which should be taken as ominous.

For his part, Anutin reportedly admitted that “they (the arrival procedures) cause inconvenience for foreign travellers… there should be a balance between reviving the economy and the safety of the people”.

Thailand is now facing a critical decision-making period for its battered tourism industry, with regional competition swiftly reopening the tourist gates – specifically Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia (but maybe delayed), Cambodia and Indonesia.

Singapore is easing Covid travel testing rules and launching new vaccinated travel lanes with the Philippines and Israel. The city-state is also starting VTLs next week with Qatar and the UAE and Saudi Arabia. A few weeks later the VTLs will kick off with the Philippines and Israel.

The Vietnamese government will fully reopen tourism to foreign travellers from March 15.

Under the current regulations, Vietnam will waive visa requirements for citizens of 13 countries… Japan, South Korea, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Russia, Belarus, UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy. In addition, Vietnam and 88 other countries and territories have reached agreement on visa exemption.

Incoming tourists will be required to be fully vaccinated or certifications showing their recovery from Covid-19, a negative RAT result certificate within 24 hours (or 72 hours from a PCR test before departure). A one day quarantine requirement will remain effective.

Cambodia and Philippines are already ‘open’ with minimal requirements. Malaysia spoke about opening up at the start of March but appears to be delaying that date.

So will Thailand miss out on some of the pent up international demand for travel into South East Asian destinations?

This is merely the 1st Wave. This wave sucks up to the failed and laughable vaccine scam, “for all ‘fully vaccinated’ tourists,” which is already ambiguous given boosterism. No matter, since it doesn’t fucking matter and anyone with a brain knows that.

Since it doesn’t fucking matter and everyone knows that, all these countries “opening up” will still be in competition with each-other and sooner or later, some country will drop the vaccine mandate and THE SCIENCE HAS CHANGED!!! will happen yet again.

You don’t need to mark my words on that because I’ve been precisely right and prescient every step of the way over two years. I’m not the only one and not the only one ignored over it, either.

As I’m writing this, a new piece just pops up. Again, this could be an article anywhere in the world since all the world is about the same since the beginning of WWIII in March, 2020.

Thai tourism industry demands Covid restrictions to be lifted, PM urges caution

Whilst Thailand wrangles with the surging Omicron wave, albeit with fewer hospitalisations than last year’s surge, between July and September when the daily infection numbers peaked at 23,418, the tourism industry is calling for immediate and almost total removal of the current arrival procedures, expensive PCR tests and enforced, pre-paid, stays at SHA+ hotels.

The Minister for Tourism and Sports Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn has taken a slightly less strident tone, saying on Friday that the second PCR test required by the Test & Go scheme should be scrapped by March. Meanwhile the Tourism Authority of Thailand is proposing a relaxation of entry requirements by replacing the controversial and unpopular, second PCR test on Day 5 with a rapid antigen test.

Those proposals will be discussed at the next CCSA meeting this Wednesday, February 23.

So, see, the narrative must pivot and and THE SCIENCE IS CHANGING!!! in spite of numbers far worse than in March and April of 2020 they were shutting down everything. Of course, they declared victory and you heard not one oh shit when the virus virussed and made silly little potentate fools of them all.
