Short Take: The 1 Millionth Indictment Of Trump

— Everything is exactly as it seems

The difficult part in predicting any of this or the outcome is that it’s normal to assume that a certain political calculation is in play that’s sound in terms of its raw predictable effects, like falsifiable hypotheses and premises. I’m not talking about good or bad, right or wrong, virtuous or evil, moral or immoral according to anyone’s set of values.

The question is, will it work if you toss it into a cauldron of boiling-over social, ideological, and political values held by individual players…and not just voters? Ultimately, they decide, of course, but what they decide is also a factor of what the elite, political class, institutions, big corp, and media do. In short, the Nomenklatura.

Now, onward to the Short Take on Trump.

… If you were like me, shaking your head part of the time, laughing the rest of the time in 2019 when the House impeached Trump over a phone call to a Jewish ex-comedian, sometimes cross dresser, who plays piano with his penis, then you might have imagined that was either as high as the lunacy can go, or as low as we could sink.

I was glad when it was over, and it was no big feat of political analysis to know it would go nowhere in the Senate. The Democrats had pulled their own version of the silly Republicans impeaching Bill Clinton in ’98 for lying about his penis getting the oral treatment by someone who was never going to be The Next President of the United States (no, I don’t mean Al Gore); I assumed it was payback and on that score; touché, I guess.

By this point, the Muller Report on the investigation into Russian interference—”conclud[ing] that the investigation ‘did not establish that members of the Trump campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities'”— had been collecting dust for about 9 months.

It had to be collecting dust, since it didn’t come to the conclusion it was supposed to come to, which is just wrong, see, and since there cannot be a President Trump in the first place—only a penisless President Clinton—any action against him is automatically justified because it serves to restore justice see the tautology?

It was a small price to pay in our tireless efforts to Preserve Our DemocracyTM which is under constant threat from within and without. See?

So given all the foregoing—not to mention that The One True Choice for 2016 had been denied…which was plenty punishment enough for her illegal misdeeds—it could have seemed like everything might have been squared up on all sides and normal mundane political work was going back to the sausage factory where it belongs.

But… maybe you forgot one thing.

… A woman scorned…

See, what happened to Clinton wasn’t just any old political loss. We’re talking a penisless political loss and those without penises, well, they’re oppressed enough already, which is why in the face of so much penis-endowed privilege, everyone with penises seems to be pretending to be penisless lately, and it’s not contradictory at all shut up.

Now, I don’t really think this is all motivated by Hillary! losing; it just makes for a funny mind worm, at least for me. I think we all really know what’s behind it, and that’s principally the never-Trump Republican establishment and its forever-war machine.

The most overlooked thing about Trump is that he’s against killing people he figures he can make a profit from. Makes sense to me. He’s criticized by some for being rudderless where ideological principles are concerned…a consummate pragmatist. Okay, granted, but what does his pragmatism amount to, that he wants to see people with better, higher-paying, more secure, more competitive, more meaningful jobs and stable families (so they can keep buying stuff) than he cares about killing them over wrongthink?

… Anyway, all roads lead to the get-Trump playground, and that in itself is the clue. There is great fear that he’s even the nominee, because should he secure that, any of these moves stink even more pungently of politics than they already do. There’s a real and present risk that High-Heaven won’t be high enough.

The news cycle is fucking shorter than Planck’s length.

Who even remembers 2016 anymore? Who remembers that Hillary! took a hammer to phones and computers? Who remembers that Mueller said there’s nothing to see here, even after the FBI and all hands on deck tried really, really hard?

Who remembers that Trump was impeached a 2nd time, when doing so was as pointless as a politician’s promise? Nobody had to see the video Tucker showed of Jan 6. That was pointless too. If you’re a moron who believes Trump had anything to do with that, violent or not, nothing will convince you otherwise anyway.

Even the other indictment, arrest, and arraignment—the one by the chubby-face DA in NYC…what’s it about, again?—is history-holed at this point.

The Durham report…

We’re into political territory where there are no words, anymore…except for “literally.”

That word is the cockroach of the English language. It’ll literally survive nuclear holocaust.
