Charlie Kirk; The Roundup

— Charlie Kirk—the public personality Charlie Kirk—was murdered today at a speaking engagement at a Utah university. Or, if you prefer, you could call it a straight-up political assassination. If you don’t know who Charlie Kirk is, that’s pretty damn odd, since he’s been such an influential figure over the last decade or so. He was only 31 years old, with a wife and two young kids.

They took him down quick and young, and I say “they” for a reason. Maybe you’ll understand when I lay it out for you.

Nobody wants to kill you, attempt to kill you, or wish you dead if you’re irrelevant and ineffective. But Charlie Kirk was very relevant and effective.

That’s why they killed him.

Charlie Kirk was distinguished in the way he debated young college people all over the world with respect, grace, and humility. He made kids think, and he changed and persuaded thousands, if not millions, of minds.

His assembled clips will influence millions more as his due legacy in the decades to come.

RIP.

— I spent a good deal of time this morning (Thailand time, 12-15 hours ahead…so I was watching the past, LOL) in awe reading hot takes. I’m not a fan of doing hot takes; I advise against it. But what I wished to do was a little reading of hearts and minds, which became pretty apparent. I know conservatives are going to call for blood. I saw a lot of silence in text from the other side.

My observations are not exhaustive for sure, but here’s what I made particular note of.

First were folks posting TikTok compilations of fucktarded people celebrating. They think they matter.

Second were folks posting clips of various influencers getting the news live and saying something like, “oh, wasn’t that the guy who…?” and then, ‘OK, back to the latest [product x] they’re selling.’ That’s for most dumb chicks.

Third was the pretty amazing hot mic incident at TMZ. This deserves a clip embed. There are a million to find; this is just one. They lied their asses off initially, and now they know their fucking scumbag gooses are cooked. They employ the worst scumbags of humanity.

The banality of evil. Look it up. 99% will not even understand the historical reference.

I’m not finished yet. You think that’s bad?

Now watch The Congress of the United States of America.

Wrap your minds around that. DEMOCRATS of The United States Congress refuse thoughts and prayers for a politically-Democrat-Leftist-murdered 31-year-old husband and father to two young children because he says things they don’t like and garners big influence among young people because he does it effectively everywhere he goes.

Think about it.

— Charlie Kirk: Standing Out in a Sea of Voices

There are millions and millions of people around the world now, with the internet and social media, who can wield some influence—from dozens to hundreds, maybe a few thousand followers. But it still takes real, big-time influence to get on someone’s radar. Charlie Kirk, even at his young age of 31, got on that radar. Plenty of others are on radars too, so what’s the difference? Take a guy like Alex Jones, Tucker Carlson, Glenn Beck, or Sean Hannity, or an up-and-comer like Jesse Watters—you can drop names all you want. What made Charlie Kirk different? He was on the ground, boots on the ground, hitting college campuses around the world, not just in America. He just did a thing where he went to the Oxford University debating forum in England and took them on. If you watch some clips of that, he’s confounding those smug bastards—he’s straight-up dismantling their arguments.

He comes from a very Christian background, and I understand it because I grew up in that kind of hardcore fundamentalist realm. But he also has a very deep secular understanding, and it’s mixed with Christianity. I’ve seen him dive into not only the U.S. Constitution but also state constitutions. He’s read them all, especially the early ones, and they were all integrated with Christianity. So he wants to make the case that we’re a Christian nation. I get that, but I’m secular—I’m not a believer in any of that, even though I grew up in it. The thing is, ultimately, he’s found a way to be very effective with young minds. I’ve been there; I was there in high school. It was only after a couple of years of college that I began to become more secular. And I don’t think anymore that it’s bad to have religion as a base. What I like is that people who are religious and people who are secular can come to the same conclusions over what is the best way for a human to live. It is possible—I can tell you, I’ve been doing it for 30 years. Being able to do it in a secular way brought me back to respecting religion as a more pragmatic, effective, or expedient way to bring young children and young people into a way of life where they have principles of behavior, rights, and wrongs. It doesn’t matter to me if they think God will smite them if they’re wrong, or if they have a completely rational sense of why that’s the right path. So I can do both; I can argue it from both sides. I’ve been able to do that since I was like 15 years old—I could argue from the Christian side when I was in that schooling, but then at about 30 years old, I learned how to do it without reference to God, the Bible, Christianity, or anything like that. Which I think gives me a great way to say, look, let’s figure out a way because why do people want what they want? People want safety, security, a decent amount of money, shelter, some transportation, clothes, food. That’s what people want.

The problem with the left and socialism is they teach people to clamor for that same thing at someone else’s expense. So that’s how they get votes; that’s how they buy votes. In conclusion, for this particular tragedy with Charlie—think of it like this, especially in reflecting on my last clip about the Congress of the United States saying no, no, no—no moment of silence, no prayer for Charlie Kirk, his wife, and his two very young children. So I know that people from the right can be riled up about this. They have fantasies—if I was God for an hour, whatever—I admit to them too. But the thing is, that doesn’t really get us anywhere because we have a mechanism for peaceful resolution. Americans, at the federal, state, and local levels, have within their wherewithal at the voting booth to simply vote them out. That is a peaceful solution.

But here’s the next chapter: that will never happen. You can wonder why that will never happen; I’ll put it simply. Charlie Kirk can go around preaching all over the world that this is your best way—with self-responsibility, having kids and raising them, taking them to church, putting them in good schools, supervising everything when they hit puberty—don’t let them go out too much—and try to maintain that peace. And anyone who’s not preaching that should be voted out of office, so you get people that sort of preach that same message, more or less, right? But here’s why it will never happen—it will never happen—because you can put that message of Charlie Kirk’s up against the Democrat message of “FREE STUFF!!!” and American socialism allows for that, so it is impossible to exterminate Republican and Democrat socialism in American politics. Republicans, too (as cucks and simps).

But, it’s really cool that American conservative Republicans privately own over half of all guns in the world, including all military guns, and, at last estimate, a half trillion rounds of ammo.

The backup plan.

Keep your heads about you.

My son is a wise (ass) at times but we could take a deep breath, shake our heads and pay attention. This is very sad for any family to go through, ANY family!

I take moments of silence and respect for anyone who can make people actually think, I am sad at hearing this news.

Sorry if this offends someone but the previously mentioned wise ass son sent this to me years ago. Relevance to this tragic situation? no. I have only been awake for about thirty minutes and only finished half of my morning caffeine jolt. Tea, Earl Grey, Hot.

I am not sure how things ‘feel’ from over there. Here, it ‘feels’ like some sort of inflection point. much like the attempted Trump assassination. Of course, in my life, there have been a lot of things that felt like they might be an inflection point and turned out to be nada, so I guess time will tell.

A very insightful perspective on the matter.
