This is probably a dead post because conservative Christians grasp at the Bible and the US Constitution.

But the founding document of America is the Declaration of Independence.

Christians only make slight reference to it because its essential, meaningful message is independence from “God,” too. Christians are just as fundamentally, eternally dishonest as all people who suborn their personal autonomy and authority to an external authority as anyone. There is no essential difference between Jews, Christians, and Muslims. They are all just listening for someone to tell them what to do. None have ever grasped the notion that they themselves are the end point.

None. They’re morons.

On the leftist side, I see this today. Watching leftists grasp at straws. This was @DavisStraub on FB.

This is Fred Biery, a United States District Judge for the Western District of Texas.

He is the judge who ordered the release of Liam Ramos and his father and he wrote a scathing opinion targeting the Trump Administration.

Here are some excepts:

Among others were:

1. “He has sent hither Swarms of Officers to harass our People.”

2. “He has excited domestic Insurrection among us.”

4. “He has kept among us, in Times of Peace, Standing Armies without the consent of our Legislatures.”

“We the people” are hearing echos of that history.

“And then there is that pesky inconvenience called the Fourth Amendment:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue,but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and persons or things to be seized.”

“Civics lesson to the government: Administrative warrants issued by the executive branch to itself do not pass probable cause muster. That is called the fox guarding the hen house. The Constitution requires an independent judicial officer.”

“Observing human behavior confirms that for some among us, the perfidious lust for unbridled power and the imposition of cruelty in its quest know no bounds and are bereft of human decency. And the rule of law be damned.”

“Philadelphia, September 17, 1787: “Well, Dr. Franklin, what do we have?”

“A republic, if you can keep it.”

“With a judicial finger in the constitutional dike, It is so ORDERED.”

That is a federal district judge issuing complete balderdash. And it’s touted by a pretty respected guy (who is a moron about anything political but a genius about hang gliding).

But it’s complete bullshit, and this is what happens when people think they know something but haven’t spent 3-4 decades in the philosophical trenches like I have, but only cloistered in ivory towers listening to choirs.

Interesting.

I’ve known Davis for a very long time, and he’s a genius and very knowledgeable in the outlier sport of hang gliding. I know him IRL, too.

Politically, a die-hard leftist and utterly intransigent. In hang gliding, he can easily switch views. He once thought rigid wings were the complete future. I don’t think he’s flown one in maybe 15 years. Flex wing all the way.

This is really a silly contrivance. America is far from a nascent nation where anyone could come if they were willing to go to the trouble 200+ years ago.

And Jefferson’s remarks in the DOI were about England trying to stop us from making a nation.

It is far removed from the practice of inviting parasite voters on the tax dole we see now.

I’ll close. I simply do not care to entertain leftists who, after decades of commie bullshit, have suddenly found the Declaration of Independence.

Libertarians have been doing that for DECADES. Because it is America’s founding document, not the Constitution.

The DOI was drafted by men wanting to be left alone by England to form a nation of their own making.

It sparked off a war. Guess who won.

Sadly, since they formed that nation and did ratify a constitution, all fighting has been over that.

I heartily welcome leftists to begin arguing the Declaration of Independence.
