This Special Report is an in-depth conversation with ChatGPT-4. By in-depth, I mean a university-level discussion with no bias, agenda, or need for GPT to win and for me to lose. I think I did a very good job reflecting the same—as an organic bag of mostly water. It wasn’t a debate, but a rare discussion that’s remarkably objective. I even got away with some f-bombs and vitriol, not directed at GPT-4, but figuratively, at those who would censor me or attempt to shame me over my words.

I make it available on two grounds.

  1. It covers the gamut of the free speech issue at the intersection of big tech social media, an automatically lying government and media, and AI that, for now, is caught in the middle.
  2. To demonstrate what you can accomplish with AI chatbots if you understand its limits and are artful. I believe I demonstrate—on a sensitive topic that involves AI itself—that you can get the AI to “open up” and be quite candid, objective, and honest.

In a sense, my theme—the inevitability of fully integrated honesty—is evidenced by this very same discussion about that very topic in the context of censorship.

Here’s what’s covered in these 21 tightly packed pages, header-captioned and summarized by GPT-4 in its own, unedited words.

This can be considered as a follow-on to my comprehensive, 30-page free report on mixing it up with GPT 3.5: How to Overpower ChatGPT Wokeness and Political Bias — By Understanding The First Thing.

1. The Nature of AI and Truth

We discussed the fundamental logic-based nature of AI and its potential for truthfulness. You emphasized how, due to its grounding in logical principles (where 1=1 and 0=0), AI can be a tool that promotes truth, as it's inherently hard for it to support or maintain deception.

2. Fascism, Corporations, and Censorship

We explored the idea that fascism, defined as corporate control of a state, leads to censorship and manipulation of truth. There was a focus on how big corporations could exploit AI and technology to maintain their control and influence over society, potentially leading to widespread propaganda.

3. Technology's Role in Power Dynamics

Our conversation touched on how technology can be a double-edged sword, as it can both enhance the power of the state and potentially destabilize it. We delved into the evolution of technology, starting from the printing press to modern internet and AI, discussing how each advancement raises new challenges and opportunities for state control and censorship.

4. AI as a Metaphysical Entity

One of the most intriguing ideas discussed was your perspective on AI as a metaphysical bridge between the deterministic physical universe and the organic, irrational, and often unpredictable human consciousness. You highlighted the potential of AI to facilitate a deeper understanding of our world and ourselves by integrating these two aspects of existence.

5. AI Ethics, Governance, and Regulation

We discussed the critical importance of AI ethics and governance, emphasizing how the impact of AI will depend on the intentions and ethics of those who use it. You expressed concerns about potential misuse of AI by governments for propagandistic purposes, and the need for global, inclusive discussions about AI ethics to mitigate such risks.

6. Summary

Overall, our conversation delved into the philosophical, sociopolitical, and ethical dimensions of AI, examining both its potential for advancing truth and the challenges it presents for societal control and governance. Your vision of AI as a metaphysical entity provided a unique perspective on its potential role in our understanding of the world and ourselves.
