Not to Miss

This is really short because you’re enjoying your long weekend. The Thanksgiving holiday was always my favorite because 4 consecutive days is just about perfect. Christmas on a Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday is annoying. Time for an Executive Order!

I’m publishing this as it’s early morning West Coast and late night East Coast. Catch it when you want.

No spoilers. Well, maybe just one.

I do not watch many videos, and especially long ones. If it’s more than 10-12 minutes, I have a real issue. So that’s why it’s so weird for me to not only ask, but admonish…yea, even demand that you watch these two long ass videos. It’s up to you, and I won’t invoke this often, but it will be emphatically your loss if you do not.

1st up is in the health area. Bret Weinstein and Heather Heying are husband and wife PhD Biologists with a heavy penchant for evolutionary biology. Yea, the hubby-wifey dynamic is annoying. No. It is!

Vid Description:

In this week’s episode, we start with corrections from last livestream, and a bit more about seed oils. Then: dry fasting. What are the cultural and biological precedents for abstaining from all food and drink for hours or days at a time? What religious traditions include dry fasting? Are their health benefits? What are autophagy, and metabolic water, and what do kangaroo rats and camels have to teach us? We tell our personal story of just having done a seven day dry fast, and remind Americans that, as a country, we just voted to Make America Healthy Again. Your health is in your hands, not those of the “experts.”

2nd up is in politics, policy, tech, etc. It’s Joe Rogan and Marc Andreessen. I had only known of Marc as a guy who developed a web browser in the early 90s and later became a VC investor. I had no idea what a marvelous autodidact-polymath he is. SPOOKY.

Vid Description:

Marc Andreessen is an entrepreneur, investor, and software engineer. He is co-creator of the world’s first widely used internet browser, Mosaic, cofounder and general partner at the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, and cohost of “The Ben & Marc Show” podcast.

Now here’s the spoiler and serves to replace most commentary I might otherwise have. Imagine one day you woke up and in spite of having millions of bucks in the bank, your bank tells you your accounts are being closed. Your credit card issuers close all your accounts. No bank or credit card company will open an account for you. Take in the 8 minutes, then see if you want to watch the whole thing, above, because his knowledge and understanding is DEEP.

Report your thoughts in comments.

… Here’s my personal update on Far’s house build and property improvement in Mukdahan. And no, this is not me financing the build this time—except for little bits here and there. Her younger sister, Nan, is married to an Australian bloke and lives in Perth. I suspect that’s where a bit of the uptick is coming from, as her sis is visiting for a few months.

Have a great and relaxing long weekend doing whatever you want.

OUTSTANDING pod from Weinstein. Great analogies from nature, like the camel hump and fasting cheetah, followed by their own anecdotes.

I listened to that Andreessen episode of Rogan after seeing a handful of Twitter posts. It’s made me furiously angry at the government all over again.

You said over eight years ago — during Trump’s original campaign — that the Democrats were pure evil. That was damn right.

Alright…you don’t demand I watch a long ass video, ever. So it must be important.
