Physical Culture: Gym, Diet, Fasting
— The Massive New Archive
“Delve into how it all began, beginning with Art De Vany in 2007, and continued through many iterations and self-experiments with workout styles (even working personally with Martin Berkhan — Leangains), diet hacks, and all forms of fasting known to mankind…right up to how I eventually became a “gym junkie” at the ripe age of 62 as an American Expat in Pattaya, Thailand…achieving the best gains and fat blasting of my life.”
I find myself contemplating the unusual and fascinating physical culture of the gym here in the heart of expat hub…Pattaya, Thailand. A place that is a proverbial circus of anomalies, where seasoned men, ranging from their 40s and reaching into the very zenith of their 60s, 70s, and even 80s, are partaking in the ritual culture of physical fitness with a dedication that’s both intimidating and awe-inspiring.
These aren’t your average geriatric specimens…they’re absolute behemoths, creatures of raw power and brawn. They’re sporting chiseled six packs, shoulders that could compete with Atlas himself, and an uncanny abundance of lean mass that would put some yunguns to shame. If you imagine that might be a sight to behold, hang on, ’cause it only gets more bizarre…
This gym is not only teeming with these testosterone-charged titans of old, but it’s also home to a bevy of young, scorching hot Thai chicks in their 20s and 30s. These enchanting creatures possess some of the most awe-inspiring assage you could ever lay your eyes on…as if God himself took a little extra time when crafting these angels.
The gym, at its very core, is a hotbed of raw, primal sexuality, deftly concealed beneath a veneer of courteous, gentlemanly interactions and zero perceivable ogling. Haha, yea right…because the omnipresent mirrors that adorn the walls of this fitness sanctuary are not just for checking your form or admiring your own hard-earned gains. They serve a dual purpose, acting as the perfect camouflage for those sneaky, lust-filled glances.
In this madhouse of muscles, the air is thick with the scent of sweat, determination, and unspoken desires. It’s a microcosm where age is just a number, where the old and the young converge in their shared pursuit of physical prowess. It’s a unique culture that’s both intriguing and beguiling, a testament to the indomitable spirit of humanity, and a stark reminder of the raw, animalistic nature that lurks beneath our sophisticated exterior.
It’s not just about physical fitness, it’s about challenging societal norms, defying the conventions of age, and asserting your individuality. It’s about claiming your space, establishing your own standards, and working tirelessly to achieve them.
In this gym, as in life, it’s not about conforming to a predetermined framework set by others. It’s about carving out your own path, asserting your will and freedom, and striving towards success, prosperity, happiness, and passionate love. It’s about being the master of your own destiny, the captain of your own ship, the architect of your own life.
In terms of the mechanics of this new member benefit, here’s a brief rundown.
- I’ve scooped up a total of 480 posts…everything that matched “gym, devany, fasting, and leangains.”
- I’ve created an archive index that includes all of them; they’re available for browsing and perusal now.
- Over the days to come, I’ll be going through those hundreds of post with their hundreds of thousands of words, and curating them for you. I estimate that it will come out to something like 300 or so as the foundational work of the past 15 years.
- As with the 114 No-Pill Advantages course, I will number them and append the identifier PC:GDF. Here’s post numero uno. Who woulda thought that would kick off hundreds of posts over the next 15 years?
- I’ll also link them all together, just as with the 114 course. So, each post will have both a link to the one that came before and the one that comes after. So, you can start at the beginning and go forward, from the end and go backward, or anywhere in the middle and look side-to-side.
- I will, of course, be putting up new posts with some regularity.
Currently, I am aiming to see what really happens if you eat BIG for 4 days while lifting BIG those same 4 days; then rest, relax, and fast for 3 days. The idea is putting a months-long bulk/cut cycle into weekly mini-cycles. In other words, you gain lean, fat, and strength over 4 days. Then you fast (cut) for 3 days…but because of the short duration, you do not need to worry about managing diet with PSMF stuff and the like to preserve lean mass. You won’t lose shit in 3 days of zero food, and anyone who says otherwise is a full-of-shit charlatan.
You will, however, blast fat to smithereens in those three days.
This shall be easily demonstrated to the membership. This will raise the question, why isn’t this done, how come I’ve never heard of it?
Do I really need to answer that?
… Finally, the purpose and message and whatever else is that my posts over the last two months since doing the 30-day consecutive at the gym are popular. I have not received so many positive messages (100%) about anything in a long time. So there’s that. The membership likes it, so it’s going to boost membership roles for sure by formalizing it here—and with peeps who are some of the ones I like best.
Gym bros and gals aren’t lazy excuse makers. You can’t be.
But here’s the biggest reason… I want to craft this in such a way so that all you young guys and gals in your 20s, 30s, even 40s are motivated to NOT WAIT until you’re 62 for it all to finally dawn on you as it has on me.
It’s a culture you have to adopt, embrace, and bust ass to keep. You never stop busting ass to keep it. You just have to get over that hump to make it yours, and it’ll stick, and you’ll want to bash yourself in the face for not having done it way long time ago.
And you will not be there until you put in the consecutive, grueling days in the gym doing real and measurable and accountable and trackable shit and fighting for gains every damn time, relentlessly, and come to realize that not doing this—ever stopping—is unthinkable…and then you order a complete guide to advanced bodyweight exercises just in case you’re ever stranded somewhere with no gym access.
That’s the aim; or, more directly: time to get up off your lazy human ass, stop making excuses, stop eating like a kid, and haul it down to the gym.
